A statistician can be consulted at every stage of the study, from the design to the final reporting. For most cases, as soon as possible is best, preferably during protocol development. Having a properly designed experiment with an appropriate sample size will lead to a successful outcome.
Has Milliken Associates ever provided a second opinion on the analyses someone else has produced?
Yes, we can provide a second opinion on someone else's analysis. The need for a second opinion can happen for a variety of reasons: personnel changes mid-study, poorly designed study, freak of nature leading to lots of missing data, etc. We will follow appropriate statistical methodology to answer your research questions.
